To use your digital Vault enabled card for in-store payments, the card must be added to your phones wallet and the device must support NFC (Near-Field Communication) and NFC must be turned on.
For Apple phones NFC is always on.
For Android phones you can turn NFC on and off for specific apps i.e. it can be turned on for Samsung Pay but not for Google Pay.
To check if NFC is turned on on your Android phone please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Open the Settings app
Step 2.
Tap 'Connections'
Step 3.
Tap 'NFC and contactless payments'
Step 4.
Tap the switch to turn NFC on
Step 5.
Now NFC has been enabled, you can change your settings to allow contactless payments for multiple wallets - Tap 'Contactless payments'
Step 6.
Select your preferred mobile payment service and follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting it up
